Efforts to wipe out this piece of shit we call IE6 continue

Bring Down IE 6: a campaign by .net magazine
"The premise is simple: Internet Explorer 6 is antiquated, doesn't support key web standards, and should be phased out. This isn't about being anti-Microsoft, it's about Microsoft's lack of development in the browser market. With IE7/8 not available for Windows 2000, IE6 accounts for up to 20% of web usage, primarily via business users. Clients pressure designers to 'force' sites to work in IE6, and designers, not wanting to lose business, comply, using hacks and workarounds. This wastes time and money. Microsoft needs to fix this, designers need to unite, and we all need to move on."

I have already moved on .. and that 20% using ie6 can suck it AFAIAC. How can someone use win2000? what a peice of ancient junk! Any business using it deserves to fail. I save time and make more money by ignoring them. I have also taken to sidestepping ie altogether and design for cs3 like rounded corners and opacity. I dont care if people using IE cant see them .. they are used to the internet being subpar and cant cogitate the difference anyway. This is a war of attrition and IE is on its way to extinction. IE8 sucks!! I wont be making any special considerations for its inability to display proper code. If things dont work for people on IE then maybe they will check out one of the real internet browsers. I was hoping for standards compliance and css3 support, since I didnt really get it I wont return the favor by enabling people using their software to view the web as it should be. MS can afford to do it proper ... why dont they?
